What We Do
Chimney repointing
Mortar joints in the stack crack and crumble in the frost. We cut out the loose mortar and repoint to seal the brickwork.
Chimney flashing
Where the chimney meets the roof, lead flashing keeps water out. We renew and repair flashing that's lifted, split or pulling away.
Chimney stack repairs and rebuilds
From a cracked brick to a stack that's leaning, we repair and rebuild stacks so they're sound and stable.
Flaunching, pots and cowls
The mortar cap (flaunching) holds the pots in place. We renew flaunching and fit or replace pots and cowls.
Chimney removal
If you no longer use the chimney, we can take the stack down and tile over — ending the leaks and the upkeep for good.

Usually it's one of three things — cracked mortar in the stack, failed lead flashing where the chimney meets the roof, or a damaged flaunching cap on top. Water runs down the brickwork and in through any gap. We'll get up there, find the exact entry point, and fix the cause rather than just treat the damp inside.
